EOS ADVANCED MANUFACTURING FACILITY

As one of the leading steel framing systems innovators, with over 14 years expertise across all construction sectors – our expansion programme continues with a major extension to the company’s advanced offsite manufacturing facility and the development of a new fabrication plant. This work has been undertaken in preparation for the increased workload with the development of a complete walling solution and load-bearing panelised and cassette systems to support offsite initiatives.

In addition to the five Howick steel framing machines currently in operation, to expand capacity EOS has installed overhead cranes for lifting and moving frames and steel coils around the extended facility.

Howick roll forming steel technology is internationally recognised for quality. Our steel framing machines place all punching and fixing holes through accurate computer control. This not only allows frames and trusses to be manufactured with extreme precision but enables the frame to be self-locating. Our Howick machines feed data from an open language (CSV) control system and have the ability to cut, notch and dimple to precise instructions which allows EOS to innovate and pre-assemble strategically important parts of the facade within the factory. This means we can deliver accurate, quality-controlled products to site that been pre-assembled – providing speed and accuracy onsite.

Steve Thompson, Managing Director of EOS said of the expansion programme: “We have invested in our own fabrication plant to be self-sufficient in manufacturing our ancillary parts such as angles, brackets, windows and cills. This supports our market leading ‘lump-sum’, all-inclusive pricing initiative and complement our ‘total supply’ offering – enabling us to support the volumetric modular building sector together with high bay and continuous walling industries.”

EOS’s existing range offers 65mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm and 250mm deep sections in gauge thicknesses ranging from 1.2mm to 2mm and section lengths are fully customisable. With the latest addition of the multiwidth machine, the company can now also produce U-Track sections ranging from 65mm – 254mm in thicknesses ranging from 1mm to 3mm with capability to run all of our slotted head track profiles.
